We are excited to inform you that AdmSnippet uses SVR.JS to host their website. AdmSnippet is created by Dorian Niemiec, the same person who’s behind SVR.JS web server software. Dorian specifically went with SVR.JS for AdmSnippet, because it’s free as in freedom and scalable, and supports PHP (through FastCGI). Dorian chose PHP as a programming language for AdmSnippet, because it’s very popular, many hosting plans include PHP support, and Dorian wanted to practice his PHP development skills. But the real reason why AdmSnippet chose SVR.JS as web server software is that Dorian is using his own web server software.
Server administrators can visit AdmSnippet to easily find server administration scripts and configuration files (“snippets”). They can also register on AdmSnippet to submit their own snippets, and vote for others’ snippets.
Currently, AdmSnippet has only few snippets. However, as its popularity grows, it will have more snippets, so that server administrators can easily find them.
You can visit the AdmSnippet website to get started with it.
